April has been a rewarding month for me so far

We are halfway across April now and I must say that it has been very rewarding so far.

As you might have read on softgridblog I recieved notice on the 1st of April that I have been rewarded with the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award (MVP) on Microsoft Application Virtualization (Softgrid), which is why the MVP logo is located proudly on my blog.

The Microsoft MVP Award Program recognizes and thanks outstanding members of technical communities for their community participation and willingness to help others. Last week I went to take the 70-401 exam (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007, Configuring) and passed. I already was Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist because I passed the MDOP exam (70-656). But now I can add ConfigMgr to the list as well.

I thought the exam wasn't that hard actually. I was expecting a lot of high level configuring of sites and roles based on network connectivity and bandwith. However this was not the case. All questions were pretty detailed and asking about logfiles, installation parameters, OS deployment, WSUS integration and Desired Configuration Management.

The syllabus for exam 70-401 TS: Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007, Configuring can be found here.
