Right now i'm testing MDT2010. This version in my environment ( windows2003, SP2 ) looks very buggy and slowwww.
The MMC is crashing all the time. After each GUI interaction you get errors. I keep on stopping and start MDT.
Soon beta2 will be available. I think it's better to wait for that.
Hi. Interesting Blog and some very useful posts too! I have been working with the Beta 2010 version of MDT, mainly in the space of migrating an MDT 2008 version across. Due to the fact that there have been a number of feature changes between versions, I actually had to re-do the entire deployment point to be compatible with the new structure, mainly with respect to Linked Deployment Shares and the setup of multiple Deployment shares within the one console now, not separate deployment points.
However, I do like the new look and feel, it has huge potential now. On another note, I have been on the look-out for some MDT 2010 training as some of my work colleagues would like to get familiar with it. If anyone needs some training on the topic of MDT 2010, I found a useful site with a series of video training packages, or courseware
